Anyone who really makes money online knows the truth. And the truth is that it takes time and real effort to get to the big bucks. This is what puts most people off making money online with affiliate marketing. It took me almost 3 months to make my first commission. I don't know how long it will take you, how long is a piece of string?
Month 4
By month 4 I was making just a little bit more than month 3. And so on. Eventually, I did quit my day job, now I work 6 hours a week teaching English just for fun. My real bread and butter now comes from my website.
You can do the same, so you'd be better if you started this stuff today, right? You'll reach success sooner if you do. Don't procrastinate if you seriously want to learn how this stuff is done.
If you can get through that waiting period for your first commission to come through, you will find that it grows. It grows like a snowball, very slowly at first because your website is new and not yet getting a lot of visitors.
After a while, you start getting more visitors coming to your site and clicking your affiliate links. The more content on your site the more visitors will come.
Visitors
The more visitors that come then the more commissions from people clicking on your links you will get. Then you get more excited and you finally "believe" the potential your website has. This spurs you on to new heights, you start adding more and more content and your daily visitors keeps going up as do the clicks on your affiliate links which recommend stuff you've checked out.
The excitement grows and grows, as do your commissions. There really is no set limit to how big it becomes. Yes, it is possible to give up your day job (when you get to a certain point) and yes, you can make a lot of money if you follow the training at Wealthy Affiliate to the letter. There is no need to worry about people ripping you off.

The first time I heard build a website in 30 seconds I just thought yea right. Now that I have been doing this for a little while I know it can and is done all the time. The scams you speak of are so common on the internet and it makes it difficult for people to believe anything. I wonder why don’t they do honest stuff? Even a scam takes work to market.
People ask me all the time how long does it take to make money online. What difference does it make, as long you are heading that way.I mean think about it. If it takes you months or even longer to learn how to put up a website and make money in the comfort of anywhere you want to be is worth the effort. Don’t you think?
It takes time to learn any skill. Electrician, carpenter, plumber, lawyer, accountant all train for years before they start making real money. And they have to leave the house to do it. There’s a few things I will always remember in my life, my wedding day, my Army days, the birth of my only child and my first online sale. It’s worth it no matter how long it takes.
All that is needed to get that first online sale is starting and never giving up. The sooner people get started the sooner they learn how it’s done. What a valuable skill it is to learn. To me it’s freedom.
