Can You Schedule Instagram Posts?
With an online tool called Instamate 2, you can schedule as many posts as you like. What’s more, you can actually schedule posts for up to 5 of your Instagram accounts all in one go.
What is Instamate?
It was created in its first version back in early 2016 by Luke Maguire who noticed his girlfriend would wake up at strange times of the night just so she could post to her Instagram account.
Instamate 2 Improved on Instamate 1
In early 2017, Instamate 2 was launched and has been very popular. There is a Facebook group for Instamate users that’s already 15,000 strong.

In the video below, you will see how easy it is to schedule posting to Instagram. No more setting alarm clocks for strange times, eh?
Instamate is not an app that you need to download. It’s cloud-based so all you have to do is log in (using Chrome Web Browser). You must use Chrome because there is a special extension for Instamate 2 that needs to be activated once you log in to your Instamate account.
This extension allows you to automate 5 accounts. If you don’t install the extension you’ll be limited to just one account. So it makes sense to install the extension. It takes about ten seconds to set up. Easy!
What’s the Best Time to Schedule Posts on Instagram?
I’ve been fishing around on the internet for information on this very topic and it seems to be the majority of “experts” say it’s 5 PM (in whatever region you’re targeting).
So, if you live in England and you want as many of your followers as possible to see your posts it’s best to post at 5 PM UK time (if you're targeting people in the UK, of course).
The same goes for the United States. If you’re wanting lots of your followers in the states to see your post you’re best off posting at 5 PM their time. Makes sense, I suppose.
Most people, whatever their region, are knocking off work at 4 or 5 PM and getting home. Posting at this time makes more sense than posting at 2 AM in the morning because everyone’s asleep (in that region you’re targeting.)
So there you have it. 5 PM, as I’ve understood it after researching, is the best time for posting to Instagram. I suppose this might apply to many social media networks, too. I would guess that Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter are no more likely to be opened by users than Instagram. So, that makes sense too.
However, I recommend you experiment. It all depends on where you are, what your niche is, what demographic you’re targeting, etc. Some people might be targeting a demographic that are night time workers, for example.
I use Instamate 2 every day now. I’m still learning to use it so I will keep you up to date on how I go with it. Okay, so that’s all about Instamate 2 for now. Thanks for reading.

Oh, I almost forgot. There's another automated tool for social media which I use and that's amazing, just like Instamate 2. However, it handles more than just Instagram. Read my Mass Planner 2 Review.
